Is RSD a thing

This 2022 paper has some interesting questions:

Taken together, rejection sensitivity has a negative impact on social support and hence it could affect recovery from trauma and facilitate PTSD but to date the association between PTSD and rejection sensitivity has not been investigated.
Source: Rejection sensitivity and vulnerable attachment: associations with social support and PTSD symptoms in trauma survivors (nih.gov)

I found that paper after coming across Jesse Meadows' Is It Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria or Complex Trauma?

We know that stress can change the ways certain genes express and it has been theorized (and debated) that trauma can be passed down in our DNA, but these ideas are often missing from the RSD conversations I see online.
