Sports for developing creativity

  • To enhance creative problem-solving through a movement practice or sport:
    • Focus on training that “is more impulsive, unpredictable, and improvised” (Move The Body, Heal The Mind, Jennifer Heisz, p149)
    • Cross-train (even if the cross-training is “just for fun” i.e. not for competition)
      • If you’ve always focused on strength training, seek out cardio, and vice-versa.
    • L’aspect ludique: playfullness
    • Seek novelty
