re telling people to go to therapy

Sometimes people don’t need therapy. They might need: A vacation, a doctor, an Elder, a mediator, welfare cheques, a spiritual community, a babysitter so they can take time off parenting, a support group, a community care web, a pod, a lawyer, a labor union, a friend. As any good humanistic, feminist or client centered therapist will tell you: It is more important to listen to what people are saying they need rather than telling them what we think they need.
